Civil War era surgeon's kit.MUSEUM PIECE ACQUISITION
A Civil War surgeon's kit, manufactured by Snowden, was purchased at auction by a Camp Nelson Board member. The quality brass-bound wooden case contains 30-plus original instruments. Funds are being sought to place it under the ownership of the foundation.
Archeological excavations, under the direction of W. Stephen McBride, provide clues to what life was like during wartime.
