Location of Camp Nelson:
Camp Nelson Heritage Park is located along US 27 about 20 miles south of Lexington, Kentucky. The Park entrance is on the original Danville Pike, parallel to US 27, one mile north of the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Camp Nelson Heritage Park is a great place to exercise and enjoy the outdoors while learning about the history of the Civil War and the way it impacted Jessamine County. The White House, a restored antebellum is open for guided tours Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No admission fee. Interpretive trails are open during daylight hours, 7 days a week. Trail head with brochures is located in the buggy shed. No fee. There are over two miles of interpretive trials open and more being developed.
